Yuliya Petrova is a Ukrainian born artist .

Since a very early age has had passion for art .Storming through museums and Coptic churches as a child, being mesmerized by mystical experiences expressed through art in the beauty of icons and mosaics.Would spend her days endlessly creating her pieces.

At around 16 years of age she was to set out for a prestige’s art school in Moscow to fulfill her life’s dream . However being highly discouraged and disregarded by her parents to give her passion up and instead settle for more of a respectable career and pursuit career of a lawyer . Finally giving in it to please her surroundings of that time completing her law degree as well as running multiple successful business through the years.

Arriving to Los Angeles , California was nothing but a winter holiday trip for Yuliya back in December 2019 instead has discovered the love for art and its high value in Souther California.

Being constrained by worldwide pandemic lockdown has given her time to reflect on her life and reevaluate it being away from her husband and home .

Being confined alone gave birth to her first art pieces in years.

Letting her passion free the art pieces started to flow one after another.

Being able to express her love for renaissance with mixture of mystical outlook the early churches her faith that gave her peace and healing in the most challenging times

As well as being influenced by Californian contemporary culture combining both styles through her work.
